MARKETING

Souderton Connects works with experts to create a professional campaign that markets Souderton as a destination and reaches new audiences through digital and print marketing assets.  We also work to keep visitors and BID members up-to-date with Souderton happenings through this website and send regular e-mail updates on relevant topics.  Souderton Connects Business Spotlights are video interviews with small business owners that has really been engaging more viewers online and shows how proud we are of our local businesses in Souderton.  ESRI data is one of the many marketing resources provided to our members to ensure time and money invested will bring the most in return.

NETWORKING

Souderton Connects District and the Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce  like to welcome our new businesses to Souderton and celebrate the milestones of our current businesses with a ribbon cutting ceremony.  This is a great way to announce your grand opening and meet your neighbors.  Our website and social media contains local networking opportunities for community members and business owners.  Our staff works to support our business community by providing that communication link and helping you to make connections whether you are looking to rent or sell your property, have a job opening, are facing similar challenges, or just looking to collaborate.  We want your voices to be heard and we are here to advocate for you and your business.

BEAUTIFICATION

Cafe lights along Main Street make sidewalks safer.  Community flower pots add charming pops of color.  The Chestnut Street Mural had deteriorated after many years of appreciation and was replaced by local artist, Harry Boardman, with a new, bright day & night themed mural.  For the Souderton Headlines initiative, regional artists painted murals on re-purposed newspaper vending boxes in an effort to fill Souderton with exciting public art and to encourage the community to walk through town and support our local businesses.  Unique, colorful, handmade seats on Main Street will provide a perfect spot to sit and enjoy the town, eat a meal, and a place for community members to gather together.  Public art and unique touches provide special moments and surprises to new and returning visitors to Souderton.  They also convey that this place is cared about and improved with intention.

COLLABORATION

Through our collaboration with the Borough of Souderton, we are able to provide free advertising for our BID members on a Digital Sign located on Route 113.  We work together closely on a number of projects including the Souderton Revitalization Plan, providing Marketing Data to our members, obtaining the Chestnut Street Parking Lot grant, and managing our community events.  The Borough continues to provide its support and has endorsed the Souderton BID Reauthorization Plan.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Economic development is the investment of time, energy and resources to evaluate the type of businesses a community needs to successfully grow accompanied by the purposeful, intentional wooing and support of those businesses.  We’ve begun collecting demographic and marketing data and plan to put this research to good use:

  • Downtown revitalization

  • A healthy tax base for Borough capital improvement projects

  • Increased ability to receive state grant awards

  • Decreased rental vacancies and increased rents

  • Rising property values

  • And opportunities to serve those in our community who are less fortunate

It is our goal to have Souderton Connects lead the way to strong, steady economic development for the betterment of our businesses and community.
